Reflections Week Six - Ethics

We discussed ethics in Information Technology and watched a video about security and ethics.

Video: Understanding security and risks.

Towards the end of the video the lecturer cited "Robert's laws of computer security":
"If you want to keep a system safe - do not turn it on"
"If you have to turn it on - do not connect it to anything"

We also talked about things such as

HIPAA: Health Regulation
SOX: Corporate Regulation
GLBA: Banking/finance

However, you do have to take risks to be in a business. Good money comes from taking risks: Operation risk and Managing risks.
CIA: Confidentiality Information Availability
RSA token

To be a successful business person, use have to have a knowledge or understanding of the risks and threads
